...it's gonna be a bad buncha reviews when The Tale of Despereaux is uppermost on Mojo's mind as best of the bunch. It was okay. Surprisingly stellar cast, I must admit. I've never read the book (shame, eternal shame on Mojo!) but it's an award-winner and I SHOULD read it. Mental note: get it from the lieberry and read it while the patrons are browsing. Yes, sometimes Mojo cannot resist the siren lure of purchasing various over-priced yuppie-like drinks that she pretends are all-natural and good for her. And since marketing is the key to the success of these drinks, she enjoys reading the quirky labels and pretending she's hip while she's drinking it. But to be honest, most drinks, even the most healthful out there, she finds WAY too sweet for her taste. So she likes to water things down by about fifty percent. It is not too uncommon to find her surrounded by bottles of water and commercial drink, cackling like a mad scientist while she waters things down to the point where she can tolerate them. She has a SYSTEM involving three bottles--one of the drink, one of plain water and an empty bottle. I leave it to you and your native intelligence to figure out how she does it, but it's scarcely a Brain Teaser. Unless you're particularly dumb, that is.  MORE Mojo! »

No doubt as you made the shopping rounds this holiday season you popped into one of those Useless Yuppie Gadget stores and saw squooshy pillows for sale among the electronic golf tees and the Deluxe Executive Barbecue Utensil sets. Then, as you left the store (or rather run out by the aggressive little vacuum 'bots that yap at your heels like some obnoxious yip-dog) you saw the same thing for sale on one of the mall carts, maybe for cheaper (I didn't price them so I don't know) but with a different brand name. Leave it to the mall carts to tell your loved one "You know, I didn't even put five minutes into thinking about your gift".  MORE Mojo! »
