1797 Large Cent

This is the oldest coin in the collection (that I know of) and it shows! Just about the only thing visible on this coin is the date. Everything else has been pretty much worn smooth by time and centuries of people handling it. There's just enough detail to see it's a cent. You can also see a bubble in the metal. Other than that ... ummmm .... you're on your own, coin people!
