Mojo Is Stuck at Home....

Well, not really stuck. But I woke up around two this morning to rain, a cold nasty rain, so my Tuesday-and-Thursday morning walk down to the lake didn't happen this morning. Since Mojo is a sissy who isn't really all that into hypothermia.

And then, being wracked with guilt over my many and sundry crimes against humanity, I couldn't get back to sleep and instead laid awake for a time thinking about Stuff. Which does nothing whatsoever in trying to get back to sleep. I thought of getting up, since I was already awake, but decided to tough it out and get back to sleep. And every time I do that I wind up having nightmares when I finally drop off around four or so. It's amazing how much drama and horror I can pack into that one little hour before my Favorite Husband's alarm goes off at five. This particular ickiness had something to do with babies in cribs and someone with a pickaxe. I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

So instead of saying anything worthwhile today, instead I will launch my initiative to once again rename the Swine Flu. The local news, ever the lapdogs of anyone who tells them to do something, have dutifully stopped calling it the Swine Flu and now refer to it as H-1 N-1 flu. Which is JUST DREADFUL. Especially watching the locals try to fit "Aitch-one-En-one" into conversational English. They are more lame at it than Mojo is trying to make the "loser" hand gesture, as described in horrific detail yesterday. And then this morning they were writing it out as "H1N1" so I though, gee, might as well call it "Hiney". Which I thought was brilliant and original until I did a Google search on it and found a gazillion other people have already noticed and thought the same.

Still, I think "Hiney flu" is MUCH better. So from now on that is what I shall call it. And if you love Mojo, you will call it that as well. Or you can continue to be a loser and call it "Aitch-one-En-one" and thereby force Mojo to keep trying to make the "loser" sign with her hand. Maybe one of these days she'll get it right....
